Madara Kvepa ''Translation''

Being in nature allows us to connect with its frequency, which flows like a calm, pure river of consciousness. Inspired by it, despite the passage of time, the artist paints these stable and constant flows - sea, sky, and earth. Capturing these elements in the white space of the canvas, to focus on how in a day-to-days race, the ''ordinary'' human view passes it all unnoticed.

The artist invites each of these elements to be read in two languages, Western and Eastern, contemplate the infinite possibilities and states that color can provide. In this case, the author refers to Western thinking as the mimetic image that dominates art history, and to the east artistic expression as a symbol of art, a sign.

"Madara Kvepa is one of the most promising young Latvian painters, whose research attitude towards painting and careful choice of motifs is always realized through aesthetic and content-filled results.

The scale of Madara's painting is palpable in its subtlety and nuance,

which seamlessly approximates the abstraction it detaches from its actual reality with a particular form of contemporary art'' reflects Auguste Petre.

The artist says a special thanks to her mother, a sinologist and a Chinese language specialist who, unknowingly, has left a significant impression on her work by choosing her profession.
