Janis Sneiders ''Place''

In his works, the artist talks about the alphabet of space, how the conversation between the painting and the viewer is formed and changed. Everything is self-sufficient and worth to be respected. When an object is painted, the background also speaks and interacts, like black and white colors interact, not only the object or just the background.

The artist uses composition without reference points, strictly laid out forms and thus explores when something begins to speak and when it becomes silent. How changing small things can change all the information that a painting provides. How much painting contains with nothing much in it and how the emptiness it becomes full in the viewer's mind.
